In honor of the gal that gave you life (and don’t you ever forget it!!), we are moving our Houston Dr. Sketchy life drawing fun to Sunday, May 16th to give you your entire Mother’s Day to spend with your mama.

But never fear, we’re making it worth the wait in a big-big way.  Join us for a 2-floor / 2-model Houston Dr. Sketchy event that will rock your socks off!  Our models (the lovely Katrina and fabulous Erin) are going to wow you upstairs and downstairs.  No, literally… on the upstairs stage AND the downstairs stage (dirty minds…).

Even cooler than that, Erin is raising money for the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society – donating her tips and model fees (as well as the sale of some goodies) to the great cause!  So bring some extra dinero and support your fave models and a heck of a good cause.

Join some of your favorite Houston Dr. Sketchy peeps tonight (Saturday, August 15th) from 7pm – midnight at Caroline Collective (4820 Caroline) for the Information Superhighway gathering!  It’s a meeting of the minds (and livers – free booze, people) for area artists, hackers, geeks and rebels.  Be there.

It will be a very laid back evening spent imbibing free Saint Arnold’s beer, margaritas, barbecue and other fixins’.  Stay for the great people, bring a t-shirt to screenprint, witness some laser graffiti and get crafty with Sarah from Sew Crafty!

Ashley, one of our favorite models, is returning to prance, pose and preen for us on the Sketchy stage.  And yes, there may be school girl outfits involved.    SEE YOU KIDDOS TODAY!  Don’t be tardy, Miss Ashley doesn’t take to that too kindly (read:  detention).

Houston Dr. Sketchy reallys digs awesome people who not only promote local arts, but like to save the world too!!!  Meet our latest crush:  the gorgeous ladies from L’imprevu Bellydance.

They are throwing a most fantastical event called Vagabond Cirque from 7pm to midnight at Avant Garden (yes, our usual Sketchy haunt) on Saturday, September 13th (yes, the day before our Back to School party).  Tickets are on sale now and include hours of jaw dropping entertainment on 3 stages, free munchies and sassy, sexy good times.

Best of all, proceeds go to benefit the Houston Area Women’s Center.  Dr. Sketchy will be on stage for a little over an hour, meaning you can play all night and even have a chance to sketch for a while with drink in hand.  For some of the newbies at the event, we’ll be bringing extra paper and pencils so all can participate.  But if you’re particular on your sketchy supplies, throw your stuff in your car and grab it when the time is right!

Get thyselves ready for a Dr. Sketchy on the Seas!!  Our model is a fierce and saucy Pirate Princess, ready to pose and prance for our Sketchy artists as only a blood-thirsty mead-drinking wench o’ the ocean can.
